THE SPIRIT OF EXPRESSION

Our Creative Philosophy

HeeL UR ArT is a community rooted in connection, support, and the transformative power of expression. We provide a safe, inclusive sanctuary to process emotions and discover personal growth through art, music, movement, and voice. We welcome individuals from all backgrounds and proudly celebrate our LGBTQ+ community. Every voice has a place here. Together, we create. Together, we heal.

WHO, WHAT, WHERE, WHEN, HOW

WHO:
We are a welcoming creative community offering a safe space to process, reflect, and express your emotions through art.

WHAT:
This is a nonjudgmental space that welcomes all walks of life all cultures and all communities.

WHERE:
Our sessions take place in your own safe space—where you feel relaxed, open, and curious—while connecting on Zoom with others who are also creating and healing.

WHEN:
HeeL UR Art will start off with once a week. Thursday to be exact @7:30pm-8:30pm ET. It allows for self-care and for you to take time and be selfish and focus on your self.

HOW:
First, we pay homage to our session—our art, the people you love, and your mind, body, and soul. Then we move into a gentle warm-up to get your blood flowing, your mind curious, and your body relaxed.

Next, we’ll move into our main exercise. You’ll be guided through prompts and open-ended questions to explore on your own. Throughout the session, you’ll be invited to pause, check in with yourself, and reflect.

During this time, you’re encouraged to enjoy a personal vice—your choice of indulgence (for example: smoke, drink, soda, water, tea, etc.). Your vice is an intentional part of the process. It gives you space to slow down, sit with the prompts, and process what comes up while still feeling supported and grounded.

The key to this experience is to respond from your first instinct—your initial thoughts and feelings about each question, prompt, or probe. This helps you stay present in the moment and offers a sense of release and relief from the pressure of your day.
